As a Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, evidence‑based perioperative care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Theatre team.

  • Job Title: Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout
  • Location: Auchenflower, Brisbane QLD
  • Facility: Large Private Not‑for‑Profit Surgical Facility

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high‑quality perioperative care across a variety of procedures
  • Apply best clinical practice to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with your multidisciplinary Theatre team to deliver person‑centred care
  • Maintain clinical accuracy, safety, and infection control standards
  • Promote effective teamwork, communication, and respect within the Theatre environment
  • Support organisational goals and uphold ethical, professional standards

Key Skills / Qualifications Required

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 12 months’ Scrub Scout experience
  • Experience in Orthopaedic and/or Neurological theatres is desirable
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work across a rotating roster (Mon–Fri, 6 am–9 pm, occasional weekends)
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to meet vaccination and compliance requirements
  • Australian working rights

Salary & Bonus Benefits

  • $42.50 – $54.62 per hour (experience‑based)
  • Plus 12% superannuation, penalties & allowances
